Day 6 & 7
Dear readers,
Friday February 25, in Turin, in the morning, we visited the Egyptian museum.
It was a pleasing to the eyes.
The collections were exceptional and included many statues, sarcophagi, mummies, everyday objects and jewelry as well as a series of papyri.
In the afternoon, we visited the historic center of the city of Milan following a circuit from Piazza San Carlo square to Porta Palentina. We discovered Piazza Carignano, the Galleria dell’Industria Subalpina and Piazza Castello.
At 7:00 p.m., we had dinner at the restaurant. On the menu, a delicious pizza and a succulent chocolate ice cream from Turin plunged us into the Italian atmosphere, and then we took the coach to Amiens. It was a quiet night in the bus. Saturday, February 26, around 8:00 a.m., the teachers offered pastries to the students. At 9:00 a.m., the students were glad to get back to their parents…
During this week, we were spoiled by the weather : Sun, sun and sun.
Already many memories of this very rich week remind us about Italy…
Day 5
Thursday February 24
Dear readers,
This morning we visited the Monza circuit. It is located next to Milan.
First, we were told the history of the circuit. It was built in 1922.
It has 2 tracks: an oval and a sinuous one (parabolic). Many pilots died on this circuit like Fangio. Then we visited the huge conference rooms and those reserved for the press and the management offices. Finally, we did two laps in our bus: the driver, Tom, showed us the horses sleeping in the engine!
In the afternoon, we visited the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci. We discovered many inventions of this inventor like the plane, the parachute, the gear, chain, and cog/wheel …
Day 4
Dear readers,
Yesterday, we started the day with a breakfast at 7:30 am. Then, we took the bus and headed to Bologna which is
well-known for the color of its red walls.
We ate at Piazza Maggiore before going to the Lamborghini museum. We discovered the story between Ferrari and Lamborghini who started by creating tractors, as he came from an agricultural background.
Finally, we enjoyed a delicious meal: pasta- again !

Day 3
Dear readers,
We began the day by taking our breakfast at 7:30 am. We took the bus at 8:30 am went to the city of Modène (near Bologne). We walked to the Plazza Grande and then everyone was free to visit the city as they wanted. We met at 12:30am to take our picnic. Then we took the bus to the Museo Ferrari. We splitted into two groups and visited the museum. At 4:10pm we went in bus to a supermarket where we bought Italian specialities. At last, we went back to the Hotel and took our dinner.
It was really interesting and this day made us happy!

Day 2
Dear readers,
Here is a summary of our first day in Italy !
- We started the day with a delicious breakfast in Restaurante San Matteo Church ;
- After that, we saw the famous Arena di Verona and the medieval Castelvecchio ;
- We strolled along the Ponte Scaligero ;
- We didn’t climb the Lamberty Tower but we saw it !
- Then, we saw the iconic balcony of Romeo and Juliet !
- Finally, we crossed Ponte Pitra before visiting the impressive Basilica of Santa Anastasia.
It was a great day !

Day 1
Dear readers,
First of all, we met in front of the school’s lodge at 3pm to check the necessary papers for the trip. The departure was done at 3:30 pm. We drove for a little more than 2 hours and stopped for our first 25 minutes break. Then, we drove again to finally stop to eat around 9pm. Then we made a last break around 11pm before our entry in Switzerland. During this trip, we were not allowed to stop. And finally we crossed the Italian border around 3 am.
